- David Joy is the author of Growing Gills: A Fly Fisherman's Journey, published in the fall of 2011 by Bright Mountain Books. He is also the author of Ruth, a memoir for which he is currently seeking a publisher. His creative nonfiction has been published by Bird Watcher's Digest, Wilderness House Literary Review, and Smoky Mountain Living. He currently lives in Glenville, NC, a small community in Jackson County.
